E-COMMERCE MANAGER / ENTREPRENEUR
What does the position include?
Management:
- Develop comprehensive marketplace strategies, management plans, forecasts, and results, encompassing both short-term and long-term objectives, customer metrics, and overall performance.
- Create and refine reports and reporting formats for improved clarity and actionable insights.
- Lead a dynamic team of young and motivated interns, fostering a productive and engaging work environment.
- Oversee day-to-day marketplace E-commerce operations, including customer service, updates, post listings, promotions, merchandising, maintenance, and performance, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Conduct daily maintenance tasks, such as correcting product descriptions, adjusting product placements, posting new items, removing out-of-stock items, and ensuring all functionalities meet and exceed company expectations. This includes managing site maintenance through Amazon and ChannelAdvisor.
- Reconcile marketplace listings to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Develop time and action calendars, outlining processes and procedures to ensure successful completion of all actions.
- Create and manage cost center budgets for all phases of marketplace E-commerce operations.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with digital agencies and external third parties within the marketplace ecosystem.
- Operate effectively on both strategic and tactical levels to drive business success.
Merchandising:
- Formulate and implement the merchandising strategy, ensuring the site is advertised according to company directives and standards, and update merchandising to keep products looking fresh and aligned with quarterly agendas.
- Plan and execute marketplace promotions to maximize growth and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external agencies to develop overarching digital merchandising, design, and marketing strategies, managing the execution and analysis of email marketing, affiliate programs, paid search, SEO, and other web-based marketing programs.
- Manage weekly inventory reports for marketplaces, ensuring optimal stock levels and availability.
- Analyze marketing channels and site performance metrics to identify and explain business variances.
- Optimize marketplace copy and metadata to maximize traffic from search engines.
- Support SEO efforts through keyword research, site audits, page and site-level optimization, link building, and competitive assessment.
Buying:
- Develop and implement assortment and inventory plans that align with the sales plan, working with other divisions to maximize inventory efficiency.
- Provide ongoing strategic insights and recommendations for new marketplace channels, focusing on growth opportunities.
- Manage replenishment and reorders to maintain stock levels and meet demand.
- Report daily sales figures to keep the team informed of performance.
- Compile and present weekly sales reports to management for strategic decision-making.

Conditions
- A 6-month training phase (including vesting)
- All communications are done in English.
- Knowledge of Dutch, German, French, or Chinese is an advantage.
- Full-time work, 40 hours a week
OUR OFFERS
PAID INTERNSHIP
6 Months internship, full time, with flexible starting dates based on your university’s schedule. Our compensation is 100 Euro per month but we are a registered Erasmus+ organization and all interns in Europe can apply for the highest monthly grant through their University.
