ABOUT

OFoundation was founded by the contributions of young professionals, under 25 years old, from all over the Netherlands, including from the University of Amsterdam, University of Utrecht, University College Amsterdam, University Tilburg, Radboud University Nijmegen, and Hogeschool Amsterdam. Initially, our concept was aimed to understand the Microfranchising process and its application on our own project. This project has evolved into what is the ‘Circular Development Challenge’ today. It taught us how it’s important to have an organized idea and committed members. Over the years, people with different backgrounds contributed their ideas to the existing concept, and expanded OFoundation. Moreover, the newly developed models, based on the ideas of our young members, have been presented to successful entrepreneurs, spiritual and societal leaders, CEOs and leading NGOs. Up to the present time, we operate with close regards to these expert opinions, and their involvement allows for a professional environment where young- professionals are encouraged to put their ideas into practice.

Recently, the Dalai Lama visited the Netherlands. During this visit, the Dalai Lama invited our director Massy Wahab to the hotel he stayed, where Mr. Wahab presented him OFoundation. Pitch Event Circular Development Challenge

Many participants attended this initiative to introduce their promising Business Plans for Micro Franchise Projects in different countries. We are proud to announce the following winners: Western Girls Training Center in Ghana, APPA menstrual kits in Burkino Faso and Web Developers International in Nepal. We will support each of the three nominees with what they need to prepare themselves for the last round, the Partin-Dag coming up in December this year. There, they will get the opportunity to attract investors and meet other interested parties.

Sustainable Development Agenda

Agenda 2030 consists of 169 target goals and is contained in the United Nations Resolution. Together with the UN and other sustainability-oriented organizations, OFoundation wants to contribute to the successful implementation of these Development Goals. Titled "Transforming our World", these goals mutually aim at creating a healthier environment for everyone to live in.
